The Bucs Just Given A $ 19 Million For Punter
If you are looking for definitive proof that the players slipped even many Elves bargaining talks, look no further. Falcons punter Michael Koenen old just received a six-year, $ 19500000 many Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Again: punter. $ 19.5 million. Good job, DeMaurice Smith.

Strangest thing about it? It is still not great. Among the punters at least 50 punts last year, Koenen ranked thirtieth in the league has an average of 40.7 yards. His net average was 35.6 yards, 28 in the league. Koenen is alright to drop punts inside the 20-yard line, make it 29 times last year, tied eighth in the league.
It also adds value as a kickoff specialist, too. He put 23 balls into the end zone for touchback on the kick last year, good for third in the league. It's a nice thing to have, and the position of the earth after kickoffs is a little known part of the game, pull up to the 35-yard line this year, one might think that a higher proportion of kickers would be able to navigate the ball into the end zone.
Believe me, the last thing I want to do is write a hit after Michael Koenen (notes). He is a valuable tool in the field of battle, the place, and I'm sure he's a wonderful, wonderful man. It 'just jumped out at me while I noticed he was getting a contract worth $ 19.5 million.
Compared to the total contract value is the largest order ever given to a player. Shane Lechler negotiation (note) signed with Raiders in 2009 was worth more per year (16 million over four) and had more guarantees. Lechler has also been a much better player.
