Elizabeth Warren Senate Run Kick Ass
We are having some difficulty in exciting the top consumer advocate Elizabeth Warren of the Senate to run, especially because the Senate has more or less the modern equivalent of the American cemetery Elephant Lion King. But then I saw this video!
In it, Warren explains and defends what she calls the "social contract underlying" Basically, the liberal conception of the state. Not only that, is to protect the public and that she is smart, funny, unadorned, and tells a good story. This is the type of video you can send to your cousin who is really on the hunt! And if Warren maintains the tone and energy during his Senate campaign as a whole, it will be a fun trip.
Here is a transcript, by Steve Benigno:
I hear all you know, 'Well, that class struggle is nothing. "No, there is nobody in this country that got rich on their own. Person.

Has built a factory there? Good for you. But let me be clear: it moved its products to market in the way the rest of us pay, who have hired workers in the rest of us pay to educate, they were safe in their plant because of the police and fire the rest of us pay. You do not have to worry about gangs of outlaws who take all their plants and hire someone to protect against this, due to work the rest of us.
See now you have built a factory and turned it into something amazing, or a good idea? God bless you. Keep a big part of it. But part of the social contract underlying is that you take a piece of this and pay up to the boy next door who comes.
