Simon Cowell: I Had A "strange" Blind Date With Denise Richards
Simon Cowell and Denise Richards? It's complicated.
During the chat on Wednesday, Howard Stern's Howard 101 Sirius XM Radio Show, Cowell has revealed that he had "a strange kind of blind date," Richards with a number of years ago.
"She's cute," the British X-Factor judge and producer, 51, Stern said of the actress and star of 40 years actually. The couple were introduced by mutual friends to meet the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills, said Cowell.
One of the most important prey? "He turned up at 8 months pregnant and had a dog in her purse," Cowell says. (Richards, gave birth to two daughters with ex-husband Charlie Sheen, Sam, 7, and Lola, 6, and gave his daughter Eloise Joni's son during the summer.)
"A little," admitted Simon. "But it is beautiful. I liked him, I think she's cute, funny, a bit of a wacko ... but I like it."
Cowell did not reveal much more than a date, only adding: "We met up later."
(For his part, says Richards, did not consider the date of the meeting. "If I were in progress I do not know!" Cowell, after the appearance tweeted radio.)
Apparently it was not a love match. Cowell and makeup Mezhgan Hussainy quietly got engaged in February 2010. Currently single, divorced Sheen Richards, now 46, in 2006 and continued to date Richie Sambora rockers and Nikki Sixx.
