Five Android Smartphones You Should Avoid Buying

Five Android Smartphones You Should Avoid Buying
Not all smartphones running Android are created equal. Unlike the iPhone, which Apple is usually updated once a year, there are literally dozens of models in the smartphone market in Google's mobile operating system.
While there are a handful of fan favorites such as the Nexus S and Motorola Atrix 4G, there is also a lot of dogs that suffer from poor performance, batteries, and features stupidly useless. Based on input from our readers, a personal experience and bad reviews, we detail here five Android phones, you should avoid buying.
Huawei m835 Ideos
Sometimes you get what you pay, which is the case with Metro PCS branded Android smartphone. While we like the fact that Android phones can now be purchased without a contract for less than $ 100, the screen size smaller performance, irregular and poor battery life is a device Huawei Ideos lower quality than most homogeneous cell. The allure of its compact dimensions (4.1 inches wide and 2.2 inches) are overshadowed by a 2.8-inch touch screen that lets you write and surf the sites and applications clumsy at best cases. This problem is magnified when you consider that most potential users of this "boot Android phone" has not owned a smartphone before. Certainly, there are smarter ways to deal with a Android.
Garminfone
Release a phone based on the state of the art navigation technology has been a good idea at first. But Garmin first (and only) entry into the crowded Android device on the market has suffered from weak sales and a marketing approach in general without direction. The idea was to bring the expertise of Garmin GPS satellite navigation in a smartphone. The problem is more common in Google Maps Android smartphones are already installed. For the vast majority of consumers think that App and hundreds of other Android applications oriented navigation created by independent developers is all that will never be necessary. Although there is no doubt that Garminfone works well as a standalone GPS device for those seeking a true experience of Android smartphones, it is certainly not cut the mustard. Since Google Maps now also works offline, that was one of the advantages Garminfone origin, the device becomes even more obsolete.
Dell Streak
It's a phone? It is a tablet? The Dell Streak somehow combines the worst qualities of each. What is the point of having a portable device that makes phone calls, but not comfortably in your pocket? In terms of calculation, the relatively low line Dell is significantly less than the supply of iPhone and others. But do not take our word for it. Wall Street Journal tech guru Walt Mossberg, the streak listed as one of the worst units were reviewed in 2010. Software upgrades for the line Android have an easier to use when Mossberg has published its first review. However, even most advanced mobile operating system in the world can not compensate for the spate of awkward form factor.
Motorola Citrus
Verizon subscribers have a serious beef with citrus Motorola, which has an average two and a half stars (out of five) based on 392 reviews. Among the disadvantages are a slow web browser that is difficult to read due to the small screen. Many users complain of having to constantly manipulate the screen size for reading text. Citrus fruits are also known to return to flight mode in itself and freeze without warning. For search and navigation, users grows citrus for Bing applications pre-installed instead of providing easy access to Google and other applications. While it is common for smartphones to include such "bloatware" to buy, for tasks as important as the search and navigation user should have the freedom to make their own choices. There may be worse Android smartphones available, but subscribers to Verizon who insist on buying a Motorola phone is better served by paying for higher Droid models.
Citrus is free to purchase with a two-year contract, and readily available. But you're still not going to pay thousands of dollars for you to handle, so you better pony than a phone first and let this ruin your lemon.
HTC Thunderbolt
OK, before you start to feel angry e-mail including this one, hear. Thunderbolt is a great device with lots of power. This is a good review, sold well, and has the advantage of blazing fast connection to use the 4G network Verizon. But - and we are certainly not the only ones to point this out - Thunderbolt is full of quirks and problems since its launch. Randy Arrowood, an amateur blogs Labels Android, has gone so far as to put a number of disappointments in his Top 10 Android phone 2011. Arrowood said questions about the transmission power of 3G, the 4G network, constant restarts, and the most common question of all: battery life terrible. Of course, the Thunderbolt (and many others like them) are ideal for loads of style and power equipment. But if you need extra battery just to see you all afternoon, or can not use the phone's full potential due to lack of juice, so what's the point of all these features?
