Sound Effects: U.S. Open Favorites Serena Williams, Seeded No. 28 USTA
Commitment arbitrary irrational political sense on Tuesday when the USTA announced that the defeat would not change the seed Serena Williams in the upcoming U.S. Open despite a triple champion is prohibitive favorite to lift the trophy on September 10.
We have seen the next, and ranted a lot about on Monday. Click on the link to read our thoughts because he is spineless for the USTA does not make the top seed in the tournament Serena. Read below for more ideas.
To recap: Williams returned to tennis in June after missing 11 months while recovering from multiple injuries. After the fall of the number 1 after injury, Serena hit bottom at number 179 in the rankings. He found his legs in his first two tournaments and then won the next two in which he plays, increasing its ranking of No. 29 in the space of five weeks.

Usta officials were probably glad she did it in the top 32 because he drew from having to decide whether the seed Serena at all. Now, all staff had to do was to examine whether it made sense to move to Serena sowing. This seemed to be obvious. It was the best tennis player in the world when she was injured and she showed she still has the talent when she returns. With the injury, Kim Clijsters canceling the No. 3 seed, it was an easy call, right?
Nope. Instead of moving Serena, the USTA's own behind the policy change with ease.
"After careful consideration seed Serena Williams', we decided to keep the objective criteria to find the seeds of this year's U.S. Open women's singles," said Jim Curley, tournament director of the U.S. Open, the top officer in a professional tournament.

Objective criteria? Objective criteria? WTA rankings are the opposite of the goal! They are based on the number of weighted value and to make the different stages of a tournament at multiple levels. WTA rankings are by definition subjective. Just because you are out of order and clarity that is not less true.
Because the Grand Slam semi-final 900 points, but won the tournament top-level only makes sense in 1000? Why is winning the semi-final meeting in Doha, the weight of the third round to win the game in Cincinnati? These are not questions that made the objectivity.

Who benefits from all this supposed objectivity anyway? Certainly not the fans, who can see Serena play Maria Sharapova in the third round instead of the end. This is not the players, just ask as a seed to see Ms. Williams before Labor Day.
Then again, maybe the USTA knows something we do not. Perhaps the plot seems very useful when it comes out on Thursday, wink, wink.
Meanwhile, if you think the decision to Serena at No. 28 was not influenced in part by that, then there is a bridge a few miles west of U.S. Open as I want to sell.
