Minor League Outfielder Use Your Head To Make Strange Triple Play

Minor League Outfielder Use Your Head To Make Strange Triple Play
I guess Nashville Sounds Manager Don Money was not his team this spring.
But if the employer has a page dedicated to their notebook OL "off the gloves of his head that captures and full triple play, his team has worked well in Omaha on Saturday night.
The bottom of the third inning with runners first and second, Nashville outfielder Logan Schafer broke to bring forward rather than back to center field, hit Omaha Clint Robinson. The ball seemed to be on the road over the head of Schafer, but he quickly changed course and began to run back, at least give you the opportunity to look for it.
What happened after the Awesomeness diminished by two Major League triple play - one of Milwaukee and the other in Boston - filmed earlier this week:
If he does not believe his eyes, that really happened.
Schafer enough of his glove on the ball to keep it in the air. The ball bounces off his head, and he caught it with his glove. With the game still alive and runners Omaha is more or less confusing, Schafer made a quick throw to second baseman Eric Farris (notes), and sent first baseman Mat Gamel (notes) to complete the triple play.
After all handle what happened, what was the reaction of the Sons dugout, Schafer?
"It was kind of disbelief and a sense of humor," [Schaefer], he said. "When the ball hits him in the head, it's pretty embarrassing, but I'm happy to catch it. They all laughed a little, a very fun game. Everyone was kind of in disbelief and everyone was coming down."
It was probably a good amount of relief to go to disbelief. If Schafer does not make the catch, at least two runs score, and can produce even greater Omaha innings.
Instead, the sounds got their triple play and eventually went to a 4-1 win. Goofy plays a lot more fun when you also save the game.
One last thing: Nashville is actually the Milwaukee Brewers' Triple-A affiliate, so maybe Schafer was right to remind parents of the club that could in turn three, just like the big leaguers do .
