Tweets Colts Owner Brett Favre, Please Be A Joke

Tweets Colts Owner Brett Favre, Please Be A Joke
Then Peyton Manning (notes) of the neck is not healing as quickly as expected. Indianapolis Colts are concerned about the possibility that he will not be ready for the start of the season. Curtis Painter backups (notes) and Dan Orlovsky (notes) was atrocious in the preseason. There is a future Hall of Famer Hattiesburg, Mississippi, has shown a penchant for returns: Brett Favre (notes).
Uh-oh.
Colts owner Jim Irsay tweeted this earlier:
The good news? I think there is a very strong possibility that Irsay joked. I do not think the Colts will sign Favre. They have never been an organization of reflexes.
If you wish, however, it is not difficult to find a way that would make sense. If they happen to know that Manning's injury is more serious than anyone thinks it is, so they need someone. As a hypothetical, is a season when the Colts have to go with Painter and do Orlovsky at quarterback for a season lost. Is not good enough and it would mean a season when the Indianapolis lot of talent goes wasted. None of these guys would get Indy to the playoffs or even 0500.
But I think he's joking. Irsay seems to be a companion playful, and will be on Twitter. That's how we know that the Colts are concerned about Manning and the Colts are not interested in Terre Pryor. He also likes rock classics Tweet, and many other things I like nonsense.
At the end of Favre's agent says he has not heard the Colts are interested in Favre. But, you know, as we have seen once or twice before, Favre and his agent are not above a little misleading on the subject of his return from the NFL.
The "Brad" mentioned in the tweet, I think it would be Brad Childress, the former Vikings coach, who personally opened Favre in and out of Minnesota.
I doubt there is something to this. But keep an eye on.
