Marc Anthony: My Divorce From Jennifer Lopez "is Not A Funeral"
Marc Anthony Jennifer Lopez is no surprise when he presented a petition for divorce on July 15, bringing its seven-year marriage to stop braking.
"I'll say that something sensational was not happening," said Anthony, 42, an ABC Nightline interview on Thursday at 11:35 pm EST. "It was a realization by both parties. So you know, it was not surprising. These things happen. It was a decision we made together."
Anthony denied being unfaithful while married to American Idol judge, although a source tells Us Weekly that he connected with a flight attendant he met on board a private plane in 2009. Anthony did not address the rumors about the nature of his relationship with Hawthorne CoStar Jada Pinkett Smith, though his spokesman has denied that have always been more than friends.
Despite her recent split, Anthony remains optimistic about the future.
"This is not a funeral. This is not the burial," said a star. "This is the only two people got together and just realized ... I have to say that is not a sustainable manner, and that's it."
Post-resolution is Anthony hiding at his home in Long Island, New York, a "paradise" that he called "Casa Marc Anthony."
Although the singer Lopez, 42, will probably never be reconciled, Anthony admits that "the love Jennifer forever," the mother of his three years of the twins.
